Hello Explorers! – I’m the Director of Marketing for National Geographic’s maps division. I’ve worked in the outdoor industry for over 13 years, first at REI back in the Bay Area and later with Wildflower Productions, the SF based startup that first published TOPO!.
Today I live, work, and play in Evergreen, CO.

Whistle Creek Ranch - Big Timber, MT
Covering 6500 hundred acres, the Whistle Creek Ranch wraps along 2 miles of the Boulder River frontage and is managed by my uncle Geoff Walton.
I first visited WC for the first time in 2000, and since then have had my the opportunity to bring my best friends to the ranch for incredible fishing, recreation, and great fun.
Sweeping views of the Beartooths and Crazy mountains from the top of the ranch’s west plateau are amazing – truly one of the few places left where you cannot see or hear anything man made.
