Gulf Terrace Hike & Bike Trail

A nice concrete trail added by the city of Beaumont. Parking and access are at the Dishman Rd soccer fields to the NE (at the end of the spur) or at the SE corner of the loop off Phelan Dr. The spur is 0.8 miles long, and the loop 2 miles.

Wildcat Beach Loop

Great dayhike or overnighter (camp at Wildcat Beach campground).
To get to the Dual Rope Swing follow the small trail at the northwest corner of Bass Lake south about .25 miles.
The trail to Alamere falls is a narrow use trail marked with a small sign. Be aware: You have to some basic scrambling to get to the beach.

This trip file shows a journey through Death Valley. Most of it was done on backroads and a 4×4 vehicle was needed for Panamint Valley, Rock Springs and Marble Canyon. The trip was in early April. The days were warm and the nights cool.
