Interactive Maps back in 1997 for just this purpose, making it fast, easy, and fun to create and print your own detailed topographic trail maps. Since then, outdoor navigation technology has changed a lot, but despite all the new features of handheld devices – nothing beats the simplicity and value of a great map. Today, we continue to develop topo.com into the premier map source for outdoor recreation. Whether you’re simply going to the local park for an afternoon hike, or planning on thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, we have the maps and tools to make to get you on the trail.

Finding maps is easy and free

Dive into topo.com by signing up for a free account, or take a test-drive by browsing as a guest. Regardless, you can browse seamless detailed topographic maps for the entire United States. Use the search tools to find a favorite place, search for a USGS topo map, geographic coordinate, or simply zoom and pan your way across the country.

Purchase maps

Found the map you need? Add it to your shopping cart and checkout. Maps are just $1.00 each and come with 7 different zoom levels. Purchased maps are immediately added to your account and can be printed instantly without additional software, or used within our free TOPO! Explorer software.

Print your maps instantly!

You can hit the trail faster than ever by choosing to print our custom PDF versions of your purchased maps. Maps are formatted to print on your home printer and come complete with all the margin information like scale bars, north arrows, coordinate grids and more to make it safe and easy to navigate with a GPS or compass.
